Missionaries of Hope

Hearts on FIRE, Feet on the MOVE!

Hope. It’s a simple yet profound word that resonates deeply within each of us. Hope is the anticipation of good things to come, a guiding light in times of darkness, and a steadfast anchor in the storms of life. It is this hope that fuels our faith and propels us forward.

As we journey through this Jubilee Year of Hope proclaimed by Pope Francis, our parish embraces the theme “Missionaries of Hope.” This theme isn’t just a title; it’s a call to action, a reminder that we are all called to be bearers of hope in a world that desperately needs it.

2025 is particularly special as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of our parish. Our chosen theme aligns perfectly with this milestone, calling us to reflect on the past 15 years of community, growth, and faith, and to look forward with renewed hope and dedication to our mission.

Pope Francis reminds us, “Everyone knows what it is to hope. In the heart of each person, hope dwells as the desire and expectation of good things to come.” This universal experience of hope is something we must not only cherish but actively spread.

As “Missionaries of Hope,” we are called to be beacons of light in a world that so desperately needs illumination. Our hearts must be ablaze with the love of Christ, and our feet ready to move towards those who need hope the most. Together, let us embrace this mission with joy and determination, spreading the hope that comes from our unshakable faith in God’s love.

We have launched a mission calendar for the year, filled with opportunities to engage, serve, and inspire. This is not just a schedule of events; it’s a roadmap to living out our mission of hope every day. From acts of kindness within our community to reaching out to those in need beyond our parish, we are committed to making a tangible difference.

Let us celebrate our parish’s 15th anniversary by wholeheartedly embracing our call to be “Missionaries of Hope,” reflecting on our journey so far, and looking forward to a future filled with the promise and power of hope.

To share God’s love by loving others

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.”

Luke 4:18-19; cf. Isaiah 61:1-2
