About Infant Baptism
Our parish celebrates the sacrament of Infant Baptism on the 2nd Sunday bi-monthly at 11.30am in the main church.
Prior to that, parents and Godparents are required to attend a compulsory Infant Baptism Preparation Session. This preparation is essential as through the Sacrament of Baptism, a child becomes a part of God’s family.
In fact, the aim of the Infant Baptism Team is to start engaging parents at the stage of pre-birth through a series of pre-birth talks starting from the second trimester through to the third and final stages of pregnancy. The pre-birth talks will include topics such as “Parent’s Role in the Faith Formation of The Child”; “Considerations When Selecting a Name for Your Child; “How to Choose your Child’s Godparents”.

The Infant Baptism Preparation Session: Attendance is compulsory for parents and godparents.

Preparatory Session
All parents and godparent(s) are required to attend a preparatory session held one week before the date of baptism. Please refer to the link provided above for the schedule.
Godparent(s) must be 16 years old and above and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. They must be in good standing with the Church and is currently practicing their faith and receiving the sacraments regularly. They cannot be related to the child in the direct line, i.e. parents.
Registration
Download the Registration Form and email the necessary information to the office secretariat at secretariat@divinemercy.sg
You will need to attach a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate and your marriage certificate. Forms should be submitted at least two weeks before the intended date of baptism.
