Holy Saturday – Easter Vigil Mass

Jesus body rests in the tomb while His followers mourn and wait. It is a day of silence and anticipation before the resurrection on Easter.
According to the Apostles’ Creed, Jesus descended into Sheol / Hades between his death on Good Friday and His resurrection on Easter Sunday where He brought salvation to the righteous souls who had died before his resurrection and awaiting liberation, opening the gates of Heaven.
