On the 8th of July we witnessed 26 of our lectors being commissioned. The passage of, Matthew 4:4; aptly sums up how important the Lectors are; as Jesus was tempted by the devil, He says, “Scripture says: Human beings live not on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Do pray for our lectors as they are called to proclaim the living word of God to our assembled community of God’s people and in so doing, they share in the Church’s mission to preach the Good News to all peoples.
